My dad is in a room in the hospital and already doing better. His fever was down - actually back to normal, and he was feeling more himself. The issues at hand are actually bladder and urinary tract related, and they have him on antibiotics and trying to get his bladder emptied without catheterizing him. He doesn't do well with catheterizing because of scar tissue due to prostate cancer and radiation a number of years ago. If necessary, they will call in his urologist and have him put in the catheter.
We were in the ER from 10:30 am until a little after 7 pm, then finally left the hospital about 8:30, after they got him settled in a room. My mama will be 79 next month and she was exhausted, and I wanted her to go home and rest in her own bed tonight. I wanted to sleep in my own bed, too, and that's where I'm sitting right now! We'll go back tomorrow morning and spend most of the day with him. He should be home in a couple of days.
Thank you all for each and every prayer and good thought for my dad, mom and me. I am so blessed to have all of you friends - old and new blogging friends - who care about us!
I'll let you know how things are going tomorrow. Blessings, Becky

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE - I KNOW YOU ALL ARE EXHAUSTED. SO HAPPY THAT YOUR DAD HAS IMPROVED AND I HOPE YOU ALL REST WELL.
Sitting and waiting is so tiring. I'm praying today that Dad has good staff working with him, who treat him with love. I'm praying for delightful nurses and other helpers.
