A Seed of Hope Planted . . . . . . . is Rewarded!

{If you are here to see my Wordless Wednesday post, please scroll down, because this isn't it! I just could not contain myself, and had to post about my early visitor! B.}

Last Sunday afternoon, a little thought crept into my head. "You need to sanitize and fill your hummingbird feeders and get them outside!"

"It's too early" my ever practical self replied!

"Just do it anyway!" That niggling little thought persisted. So I did! I sanitized and filled up my two larger feeders and placed them right back in their places from last summer. See .....

The feeder stuck on the outside of the kitchen window.

And the feeder hanging under the eaves of the front porch.

And this morning - only three days later, guess who happens to be visiting???

Yes, a gorgeous male ruby-throated hummer, scouting out the territory! Isn't he beautiful!!!

I have several pictures. Just look to your hearts content.

Then get out there and get your feeders ready, because

They are here!!!

Just now as I was preparing lunch, our first hummingbird came to our feeder (I put it out just a few days ago). We were thrilled by his arrival!
