Glorious!

Don't you just love those moments when you see God's hand so clearly in something that your heart just rejoices! A few minutes ago I was sitting here having my midday snack and playing a computer game before I move onto the next task of the day. I've got the last load of laundry in the washer, now it's time to tackle the kitchen and then start dinner.

Anyway, I was half-heartedly playing the game and watching the birds at the feeders on the deck. The feeders are only about 6 feet from where I sit right now, but there's a window between us. So I'm sitting there watching a pair of Hairy Woodpeckers fighting over the suet cake, and a gorgeous female cardinal feeding at her leisure from the feeder holding safflower seed, and the feeder turns in the wind, she looks up, and I could see light through her brilliant orange beak! It looked like it was glowing from within, and all I could think of was how wonderful that God created all of his creatures (we humans included) perfectly!

Oh, some of us have warts and crooked places, and some of us have cold, hard hearts. But whether we believe or not, He still created us perfectly, and we humans were created in HIS image! Now, I'll tell you, I'm probably the least vain person in the world, and for good reason! But I know, with everything within me, that I am exactly how God made me, and warts and crooked places included, He loves me without measure. How awesome is our God?!?!?

Now go find something that makes your heart sing! Blessings, Becky

Becky, thank you for a wonderful reflection of God's glory...my warts of fear and anxiety over the economy and politics are in full bloom. I keep feeling that we are the conquered Israelites being marched to Babylon. Your post has lowered my blood pressure and calmed my soul.
God is in control of all things.

Becky, what a wonderful post! I wanted to thank you for stopping by and leaving such a lovely comment on my blog. I admire that you take care of your parents. It is not an easy thing to do ~ please always remember to take time for yourself. I loved the last sentence on this post. You are my kind of girl! ~ Cheryl
