Happy Ramblings

Good Afternoon Friends! I've been 'piddling' in my play room some this afternoon, just playing at this and that, and I found myself singing some wonderful old lyrics . . .

I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He's watching me.

Now, things are tight financially right now, my parents are aging and needing more help all the time, and we just elected a man for president who scares me to death. But I'm content all the same. Why? I'm here at home, with my husband in the living room on the sofa watching the Georgia - Kentucky game, my 'girls' are at my feet on their bed, and I am doing something I love to do.
Contentment is so much better than happy, don't you think??? But my deepest sense of contentment and happiness comes from knowing that despite all the trials and tribulations, God, my heavenly Father, is in ultimate control, and I trust Him. I trust Him because I am His, and He is mine, and He knows my heart, and all is well.

I wanted to share a couple of pics with you from just a few minutes ago. This is Bessie, devouring a rawhide bone . . . . . .

And this is Bailey, begging me, beseeching me, pleading with me to take the bone away from Bessie and give it to her!

Just so you know, it didn't happen! Nice try Bailey!

Now, I did go riding for a while this morning, but getting pictures in Saturday morning traffic isn't always easy, but I will leave you with this one picture. One tree, making the most incredible statement of joy you can imagine!

Have a blessed, peaceful, content, and maybe even a little joyful weekend! Becky

We are of like minds!! I was disappointed with the results of the election, but am hopeful to God's will for the future. I will also look at the silver lining in a dark cloud and count my many blessing. :-)
