Because . . .

Because we just spent several wonderful days and nights in our favorite campsite at our favorite campground on our beloved Lake Lanier.

Because the weather was perfect, and relaxation was ours to be had.

Because our camper is still sitting in the driveway, WITH the canoe still strapped on top.

Because almost nothing from the trip has been put away, and our home is a horrible mess!

Because about two weeks ago my oven died, and I’ve got to get someone here to see about fixing it (best case scenario) or replacing it (worst case scenario).

Because one week ago my dryer died and my washer is on it’s very, very last leg, and because we’ve got a new set coming on Wednesday.

Because I’ve joined a wonderful group of ladies, and will be spending time working on things like blogging and fixing up our ‘Hen House’, and attending meetings and field trips such as the one coming up where we'll be helping shear alpacas (honestly!).

Because I’m doing my first ever craft show as a vendor, and I’ve got to get more things made for my space.

Because in a few weeks we are going on vacation to Florida, our first vacation alone, without my mother, since last June, and the first one in years without having to worry about my dad.

Because it’s spring, and things are popping up all over and blooming and in general making me want to be outside!

Because for the first spring in several, I find that I am finding hope and promise in this season.

Because for the first time in a while, I feel like I have a bit of a life going on, and I don’t want it to stop!

Because of all these things, I probably won’t be around as much as in recent months. But that is a good thing. It just means I’m busy and enjoying myself. When I have something to share, I’ll share it. When I get my oven fixed and can start really cooking again, I’ll post a recipe or two. And I’ll definitely be checking up on my blogging friends as time permits.

But I need to do things around here, and I am the closest to happy that I have been in a long, long time. So I need to take advantage of this ‘season’ of my life. I know you’ll understand, because each and every one of you have had good seasons and bad seasons, and you have learned to take advantage of the good seasons when they come.

I don’t think I say it often enough, but you are all so very important to me, and many of you have helped me make it through the last couple of years. Your friendship, encouragement and prayers have helped me to reach this point. And I love you for it!

Have a wonderful spring, friends! Becky

Happy appliance fixin' and shoppin'. Happy campin'.
