Blogging Friends Are Such Treasures!!!

Hi Folks!!!  It seems like I picked an awful time to have a giveaway, and people are just now beginning to get back to reading their blogs after the holidays.  SO!  I've decided to extend the giveaway through 10:00 PM Sunday January 10th and I'll pick a winner and announce it sometime on Tuesday the 12th!  Thanks for being patient, Becky

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In this last year plus a few weeks, I have 'met' some of the nicest folks through my blogging efforts.  I was welcomed into this community with open arms and appreciate the kindness of so many folks.  I just realized that I have passed the 20,000 visitor mark, and this just still amazes me so much!  To think that I've had so many visits from all over the world to read what I have to say, well, it's very special to me!
And to celebrate, I'm having a little giveaway.  I'm afraid that, due to shipping costs, this will have to be open to US locations only - and you have no idea how much it pains me to have to say that!  But, you international folks mean just as much to me as all the ones around here.
Now, what I'm giving away is . . .
A vintage pressed glass tidbits bowl with a handle.  (I know they have a name, but my mind is drawing a blank right now!)
. . . a cookbook published in 1981, written about an old Atlanta landmark, The Frances Virginia Tea Room.  This cookbook has some great recipes (a good variety), but also has a very nice story along the way as well.
. . . a set of three lavender sachets, made by me.  They are of a very pretty fabric in a deep beige background with lots of greenery and flowers in roses, blues and lavenders.  These are great for lingerie drawers, but are also wonderful for putting into purses you aren't using currently to keep them from getting that musty smell.
That's it!  Although I'm sure that as I find things to add, I'll be adding them along the way.
Now, what do you need to do to enter?  Very simple:
  1. Leave a comment on this post, answering the question I'll be posing below for one entry.
  2. Post on your blog or website about this giveaway, and come back and add a second comment, just to let me know you've posted for a second entry.  You can even use the picture in my righthand column for your blog.
And that is it!  See, I said it was very simple.  The question I want you to answer is very simple as well.
This morning I was reading a blog and the owner said that for the last few years, instead of making New Years resolutions, she just chose a word that described how she wanted to live the next year.  For 2010 I chose the word 'joyfully', and the phrase 'live joyfully'.  As you will see on my new banner, I am really going to try to 'live life joyfully in 2010'!
My question for you is:  What one or two words would you choose as your goal, motto, etc. for the year 2010???
This giveaway will be open through Tuesday, January 5, 2010, with entry cutoff at 9:00 pm.  I will announce the winner by Thursday, January 7th at noon.
And, I'll be back very soon to share bits of our Christmas with you.  It was a wonderful time of food, family and fun!  Until then, you can find out about my biggie gift from hubby HERE!   Blessings, friends!  Becky
Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.
I'm not entering the giveaway since I live in Canada, but someone will be very pleased!
I decided that this year I wanted to create something new everyday! So I guess I would say I would like to live creatively... perhaps I could live joyfully creative? :-) I posted your giveaway at my blog... as I think the way you are having people enter will provide much food for thought! I also wanted people to check out your Card designs at your other blog! Take Care!
I want to focus on creating unforgettable memories with my grandchildren. My grandmother will be 91 this year and I cherish the unforgettable memories I have with her. I would like to live life unforgettably. And it just happens to be one of my favorite quotes forget-me-not.
I think the word for this year is positively. I am trying to get rid of the negative in my life, so that's my motto for this year.
Happy New Year,
Sue
