An 'idol' to be proud of . . .

I've been a fan of American Idol since 'almost' the very beginning. It's a lot of fun to watch, and you get to 'meet' some really good new entertainers. I've rooted for some who won, some who didn't.

I must say this year my favorite was Danny Gokey and Kris Allen would have been my second favorite. And while I'm sorry Danny didn't win, I know he's got a great career ahead of him anyway.

But the more I learn about Kris Allen, the more I like that he was this year's winner. Did you know . . .

That Kris was a worship leader in his church?

Me neither, until a couple of days ago!

And did you know that he wanted one more week on Idol because he was witnessing to Adam Lambert and wanted more time with him???

Isn't that amazing? It wasn't about him wanting more time to rehearse, to try to win the competition, but that he wanted more time to spend witnessing for the Lord to Adam Lambert.
